St Michael le Belfrey has been the choir’s adopted home for many years for performances of its annual series of six concerts. This 16th century church is steeped in history and is the largest parish church in the city of York. It is also blessed with a superb acoustic best suited to choral repertoire.
St Michael le Belfrey is easy to find, being situated adjacent to the south side of the imposing west towers of York Minster, between High Petergate and Minster Yard.
The streets around the church are pedestrianised during the day, so no street parking is available. The nearest car parks are at Bootham and St Leonard’s Place. The church is approximately three-quarters of a mile from the railway station.
Seating can be provided for those with disabilities and access to the ground floor is available for wheelchairs. Wheelchair access is available via a portable ramp into the church. Our concert stewards will be available to help when requested. It is always helpful to know in advance if you require any additional requirements. Please fill in the contact form to let us know.
